Peggy Kucen McCann

I went on to get my undergrad degree in modern dance and choreography at Ohio State U. and my Master of Fine Arts from UCLA. Taught at U. Maryland for many years. Moved to Toronto and taught at York University and U. Toronto. In all these places, also danced, choreographed and toured with various companies.
Eventually, started my own Company and performed/danced for 10 years before deciding to hang up the feet at age 45!

We moved to Victoria BC and I started my own ergonomics company, BACK IN ACTION HEALTH EDUCATION SERVICES LTD. What a great time I had learning what I needed to know. And the biggest learning was how much my dance background prepared me for all of this. Accessing work environments and how people do their jobs, in order to design more functional ways of working. And then designing better work equipment/tools and environment for them to work in. Teaching workshops for employees, training Supervisors, writing manuals, and a lot of public speaking. What I didn't know I improvised until I could figure it out...sounds just like my first career in Dance!!

I'm retired now....playing tennis, travelling a bit, doing some volunteer work. It's been a full life and I plan to be up and dancing for our 75th high school reunion as well!!
