I remember Stan from Waggener, and then at Western KY. University. He was always quick to laugh, and generous to a fault. I used to ride in his car with two other fellow students from Western, on Friday evenings, as we made the trip from Bowling Green to Louisville. Stan lived at a place called "The Fort" and "The Alamo" at Western, where he kept his Gibson double-cutaway guitar, and I would go there to practice on it ! : ) When the Class of '62 had the 221/2 year reunion at the Admiral Benbow Inn in 1984, Stan and I walked down the hall to see Bo Doddley live ! That was quite an experience! I remember having to give my ears 3 days to recover from the giant amplifier that Bo used to back up his wild guitar! Bo was wearing a red jump suit . What a show ! : ) Stan was so very easy-going ! I'm sorry to say that was the last time I ever saw Stan again. The moral here must be: NEVER lose track of your friends ! Once they are gone, they are gone forever ! Well, Stan, you may be gone, my friend, but you will certainly NEVER be forgotten !
