Elaine Bahe May, age 69, passed away at her home on November 2, 2013. She is preceded in death by her father, Gordon A. Bahe.

Elaine is survived by her husband, David L. May of Brentwood; children, John David (Jennifer) May of Franklin, Stephen P. (Jeanine) May of Nashville and Sarah (Josh) Wilmsmeyer of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Jackson, Alexander and Anastasia May and Avery Wilmsmeyer; mother, Muriel Bahe; brother, John Bahe, Sr. both of Louisville, KY.

Elaine was an avid reader and a member of several book clubs. She was an active participant in Bible study groups and enjoyed playing bridge and bunco with her friends. Over the years, she served in leadership positions in neighborhood associations and other groups in which she was a member. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and wife by her family, and as a great and loyal friend always ready to listen and offer thoughtful commentary.

To honor and celebrate Elaine's life, Rev. Laura Brantley and Rev. Erin Racine will conduct a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5th at Brentwood United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of the service.
